I feed a pellet that is 16% protein for all breeds.. DO NOT free feed your rabbits or they will become too fat.
Although, I DO free feed my doe's and kits. When they are approximately 3 months of age, they slow down on their own.
For small - medium rabbits, I feed 1/2 - 3/4 cup per day. For larger breeds such as
the Flemish Giants, I feed 1-2 cups per rabbit per day. Each rabbit is different in its needs. Some will eat more than others.
NO Fruits or vegetables should be given to your rabbit till it reaches 6 months of age. Feeding veg's
too early can cause enteritis (diarrhea) and this can kill your rabbit. They are VERY "tender" and sensitive. I do give Quaker
Oats to my babies and mommies and I also add a little into my pellets for all of my rabbits. Quaker Oats is a good "first
baby food"... Besides them loving it, it is easy for them to digest. I will give you some
feed when you purchase a rabbit from me. You are to give half of MY feed and half of YOUR feed until all of mine is used up.
This will transition your new bunny onto his new feed.. Below, I have a list of
